AnGel X is a fan who was very active in Buffy fandom. She was a fan writer and the trusted spoiler source and Board Momma of The Buffy Cross & Stake. She hosted several webpages and message boards; founding the well known BC&S in 1998. She posted her spoilers to her personal site AngelicSlayer.com.
From 2002:
I created this page to thank all those wonderful people out there who help me keep the Buffy Cross & Stake at it's best. I'm 18-years-old, have maintained as many as 6 webpages and 5 message boards at once, write Buffy fan fiction and go to high school. One has got to be crazy to think that I can handle all of that without some help![1]
In (possibly June) 2002, AnGel X received a C&D letter from FOX, for posting detailed spoilers of upcoming Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes. She pulled all spoilers and galleries from her personal website as a result.[2]
Fan Interview
From a 19 Questions interview with Leoff:
There are so many questions I COULD ask you about the site, the boards, the spoilers, everything you've created. I guess the biggest question in my mind is... why hasn't your head exploded yet?AnGeLX: Because I have a great support system. I can always count on at least one of the boards to cheer me up and I've got a great group of friends that are always there to listen to me yell and rant and it's also good therapy to delete bazoar posts. There's just something about that that makes me smile. Plus, just the reality of what the sites and the boards have turned into over the years and the experiences it's allowed me to have keeps me sane.
It amazes me every day and no matter how much the stress gets to me, all I have to do is remind myself of everything that's happened and that somehow, I managed to start it. That may sound a bit conceited, but Buffy and my involvement in it has shaped my life for 5 years, I'm proud of what I've managed to accomplish.
Spoilers. Those little bits of info that thousands of us Spoiler Whores celebrate, and that Joss Whedon hates with a passion. Could you give us a brief history of your dealings with them? Favorites or fakes or firsts?AnGeLX: I've been involved with spoilers ever since day one of the sites. It was one of the very first sections. Back in the day, very few sites were giving spoilers and I myself was relying on *deep breath* Wanda and the then-famous-for-Buffy-episode-downloads Reptile007 for spoilers. I've since moved up a bit. J Then, spoilers evolved and the show got more sneaky with keeping the info out of my hands.
I still found ways and every season so far I've managed to have one *really* good batch of spoilers, even if I have no other info for the rest of the season. The info I've received this season has to be some of my favorites, but when I had the scripts for "Earshot" and "Graduation Day, Part 2" during the famous episode postponement period and posted those online, that ranks high as well. I was actually glad then to be pissing Fox off and I enjoyed every second of my bootlegged tapes.
