Back cover

All For You is a Sagadite doujinshi for the Saint Seiya fandom. It was published by Rina Kawahara and it's a compilation of short comics and other stuff she had been making about Saga and Aphrodite. In the book's preface, Kawahara says this is the first time she publishes a doujinshi after years of thinking about it. Kawahara replaced the "watashi" (私) pronoun used by Aphrodite in canon for "ore" (俺) to emphasizie his masculinity. She says that in fanworks, Aphrodite is often depicted as having campy mannerisms but she sees him as a "man with a feminine face.". She also said she received excited comments from followers about the "ore Aphrodite".[note 1]

Kawahara ends up the note saying that she's been drawing little comic strips with dirty jokes about Aldebaran, and that she loves comedy so she had to put effort into maintaining a serious tone.

Notes

  1. ^ Watashi (私) is a more formal and neutral way to say "I" in Japanese. It's often used by both men and women in polite or formal settings. When a male character uses "watashi," it can give an impression of politeness, sophistication, or neutrality. Ore (俺) is a more casual and masculine way to say "I." It's typically used by men in informal situations and can convey a sense of toughness, confidence, or assertiveness. When a male character uses "ore," it can make them appear more rugged or straightforward.
