Alisaie Leveilleur is one of the main characters in Final Fantasy XIV. Appearing briefly in A Realm Reborn, she joined the cast permanently in late Heavensward and has played an active role ever since.

As she and her twin brother Alphinaud look identical but are different genders, many fans headcanon either one of them as trans.
Many fans feel discontent over Alisaie having very light skin, since her father and grandfather had much darker skin. Those fans will often reimagine her with a skin colour closer to them in fanworks, both fanart and modded screenshots.
Following the introduction of her father, Fourchenault Leveilleur, many fans expressed a joking sentiment of wanting to adopt her and Alphinaud.
In a 2020 NHK poll, Alisaie was voted the 60th most popular character in the Final Fantasy franchise.[1][2]
Shipping
Shipping characters with Alisaie is seen as controversial in parts of the fandom. When she was introduced in A Realm Reborn, she was stated to be 15. The flow of time throughout the story is unclear so her exact canon age is undetermined at later points, but parts of the fandom continue seeing her as underage and disapprove of shipping her with characters they perceive as older.
