Abslom Daak is an infamous character from the Doctor Who Expanded Universe, first appearing in the Doctor Who Magazine story Abslom Daak... Dalek Killer.
He is one of only a handful of characters originating from the comics to later appear in the TV series itself, albeit only as a still image in 2014's Time Heist.

His infamy within fandom is in large part due to the contrast between the archetype he fulfills, and the themes and tone that the show usually espouses, particularly through The Doctor themselves. Whereas the Doctor tends towards non-violence as much as possible, Abslom is a typical macho male action hero.
