Reactions and Reviews
Nice writing.
First person POV—am I seeing a trend of this first-person lately? This one is Spock POV. I think it works in this context, where it feels authentic that this Spock would verbally tell this tale.
Spock (not his name, but what Kirk calls him) found Kirk dazed in the desert and is now caring for and loving him.
I really love this idea: Spock's long hair is a symbol of his refusal to fight ever again. And it is a moving portrayal of how his not fighting makes him not fit in with the current society, only with Kirk.
Very nice sex!
Turns out they had both been shoved through the Guardian in a fray with Klingons. So it was Spock after all. he just wasn't aware of it when he was in the past. Excellent!
They return to the present with long hair. Kirk is about to cut Spock's hair, but they put it off, just for tonight... Beautiful, poetic, romantic; they remain lovers here. Lovely story. [1]
A lovely and surprising story, short, of course, but well suited to it. Kirk and Spock were in Vulcan's past through the Guardian. Spock's hair is grown very long as a "symbol of my refusal to fight" and when they return to the present. Kirk eventually cuts it.
So much is said in this 4 pager- but done very clearly and poetically from Spock's POV.
Sexy and delightful and interesting all within those 4 pages. [2]
