Reactions and Reviews
1988
A STRANGE CONVERSATION, by Sharon Pillsbury, is another story by what I think is a new writer. This lady's style Is crisp and clear, with touches of humor, high tension and the inevitable happy ending. Involving a conversation overheard In a bar, it's a light, fun piece to read. [1]
1990
This title fits this story perfectly. "A Strange Conversation" is exactly what I would call the one between Kirk and Spock.
I like the closeness that Spock and Kirk show to one another in this story. Even in anger Kirk still shows that he cares deeply about Spock. And Spock proves that he cares for Kirk by threatening to break Frank's neck if he continued to talk about Kirk in that way.[2]
1999
Spock is regaling Kirk with the conversation he had with a stranger, a male, on Wrigley’s. It’s topic, Kirk’s attributes and what said stranger would do with them. Kirk is flabbergasted, not so much by what the stranger supposedly would like to do, but because it’s his proper first officer who is so matter of factly disclosing sexual acts. Needless to say, Spock seduces Kirk. It’s fun because for once, Kirk is totally in the deep end and he doesn’t seem to get on his feet. [3]
