A Snowflake's Blessing is a White Rose story and the first piece of RWBY fanfiction posted on AO3. The work has since been orphaned so the original author is unknown. It was posted on 23 February, 2013, five months before volume 1 was released and is an example of a characterisation fans gave to Ruby and Weiss based solely on their trailers.

I vaguely remember reading this not long after the White trailer released, and it was a fun read then. It still is. I truthfully look back fondly on those times, and stuff like this proving that that Weiss/Ruby is very literally the oldest ship in the franchise, haha. I do hope you write some rwby fanfics again sometime.[1]
