My friend wanted to publish this prologue to “Just Enough” as a standalone, as this was before we decided to publish the whole WIP a year or so later.[1]

[A Nod to Regret]: [It] sets up a long relationship that exists between SH, a very delicate and complex relationship that nobody can really explain, it just works. Hutch's divorce became final and Starsky wanted to do something to cheer his partner up, so he picked up two ladies for a night out. Except, one passed out and the other was more than willing to be their play-thing. It's not a happy situation, but when your emotions are wrung out, you need to do something.[2]
