Wow! Thanks to T'Lara for including the list of vids shown on The Cinema of Squee this year. I am enjoying perusing this delightful compilation of K/S splendor at my leisure.

A Mocked Time is, I believe, the very first set of scenes from the show set to music. If not the first, surely it is one of the very earliest music vids in Star Trek-K/S fandom. It is so interesting to see how very far we have come. According to the summary, this vid was made for Gene Roddenberry in 1986, and consists of slides from the episode Amok Time set to various snippits of recognizable songs. Some like "Tradition" and "Matchmaker, Make Me a Match"from Fiddler on the Roof, and ??? from Dolly are used semi-seriously, but others such as A Secret Love and Love Potion #9 are meant to bring a smile. At over 15 minutes, there's certainly enough here to marvel at. While vidding techniques have become increasingly more sophisticated over the years, what remains the same is the creativity and imagination and especially the love that these women have brought to our fandom.
