A Guide's Guide is a Jim/Blair story by Brook Henson.

It is online. At some point, it appears to have been planned as a print zine. From Henson's website: "NOTE: Some progress has been made on the A Guide’s Guide zine. Along with a publisher, I now have an artist, Lorraine Brevig (who, let me just say has amazing talent. She absolutely blows my socks off!)."

I know I'm in the minority here, but that was one I couldn't get into, mostly because of the second person narrative.

I imagine Brook had a reason for writing it in second person, but it read, for me, too much like an instruction manual. I found it impossible to get emotionally involved... which I would have done with third person narrative, and *might* have done with first person (though again, for me, first person, especially when told in present tense, totally lacks dramatic impact.)

Add to that, I don't in general like permanent disability (or death of mail character) stories. I can understand why some people want to write them or enjoy reading them, *but*... [1]
