A Friend in Need is a Blake/Avon Blake's 7 story by Julia Stamford.
It was originally printed in the zine Fire and Ice #6.

Blake is worried about the child-abuse charges, and Avon undertakes to prove to him that it's definitely not children Blake's interested in. There's some interesting discussion around this issue, but overall this one just didn't engage me all that much. Maybe it's just that there's no actual sex in it. :) [1]
[regarding this story and its follow-up]: So, more issues front and centre that I don't necessarily want to deal with in my B/A fic: Blake is fearful of his child-molesting charges and Avon was raped in prison, so they both have to get over that, but fortunately both of them are very patient and kind to the other. Which... I'm not going to lie, I quite like in amongst all the hostility and misunderstandings that usually populate this pairing, and it's not unrealistic or badly done, but - I wish the fic was a bit more about them, rather than these issues.[2]
