A Certain Mystique is a fansite decided to the X-Men character Mystique. It also included fanfiction by Raven Poe. It was one of the few villain-centric fansites in X-Men fandom, and one of the few devoted to Mystique. It was inspired by Alara's Mystique Page.

Dedicated to and for those of us interested in the exploits of a certain shifty shifter...

A Certain Mystique - Main Page

The site was short lived, with the last update in 2000.

Notes in italics by Raven Poe.

Mystique’s history is a patchwork. Just as many characters suffer the slings and arrows of multiple writers and convenient plot twists, so does Mystique. This is complicated by her deliberately vague background; mystery is part of her nature. I am attempting to piece together who she is and who she was while at the same time keeping every possible piece of canon intact, adding comments where I feel there is (or should be) some doubt, and offering my own version of her history where I feel it to be applicable.
