Talk about being literal! This was a delightful story of Spock's naivete with the English language that was a lot of fun to read. And certainly a new and different way to begin a first timer. [1]

Yes. English is a very difficult language. I can understand Spock! I myself had similar experiences in Germany with our Bavarian dialect, when I moved 18 years ago to our city. There are several funny misunderstandings! [2]
