ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodivergency, alongside other conditions such as autism and dyslexia.

Hyperfixations

One trait of ADHD that often affects fandom experience is hyperfixations. Similar to the special interests of autistic folk, hyperfixations are characterised by an ability to focus for an extended period of time on one thing. For some, these hyperfixations will be towards specific media texts.
