Young Frankenstein is a 1974 film by Mel Brooks that is a parody of the classic Frankenstein horror films. It follows Dr. Frederick Frankenstein, grandson of Victor Frankenstein, as he resumes his grandfather's experiments and creates his own Monster.

Around the time of its release, the film was reviewed in science fiction fanzines such as Glimpse (Issue 3, 1976) and The Clipper Trade Ship (Issue 10, 1976).

In 2007, the film was adapted by Brooks and Thomas Meehan as a Broadway stage musical.
