You Seem to Like Me is a Kirk/Spock vid by Helen and Virginia Sky to "You Seem to Like Me" by Paul McCartney. It uses black and white effects to create an "old timey" feel to match the nostalgic tone of the song.

Vidder's Notes

In 2013, one of the vidders, Virginia Sky wrote about the origins of the vid:

"We [created the vid] for the K/S Press party at Shore Leave.

Helen scripted the vids, Hello Again and The Love I Found In You. You Seemed To Like Me was my creation. I captured all the clips from vhs tape. But I used the programs, Roxio and Premiere, for the vidding. I went back in forth between each program, because they each had certain filters I liked.

I am a natural daydreamer and music is my first love. (music teacher here). So I have always correlated music to different scenarios. The Paul McCartney song immediately reminded me of our boys and the lighter side of K/S."[1]

Reactions and Reviews

Just adorable. What could be cuter than the guys dressed in suits and fedoras in A Piece of the Action. Reduced to black and white, this vid has the look of an old style movie. It’s filled with all those scenes we love to see: Kirk looking at Spock with such affection as the Vulcan follows his lead and crosses those long, lanky legs on the mobster’s desk, Kirk teasing Spock from The Apple, Kirk and Spock discussing whether Spock likes pizza or not, from ST IV: “And so do you.” “I love you, and you seem to like me.” Indeed.[2]
