x being y for z minutes is a format for a type of fanvid that began to arise and be popularised during the late noughties/early twenties. The fanvids share similiarities with crack vids, and may be seen as either a form of or a follow up of sorts.
Whereas traditional crack vids often utilise songs and other short audio clips to express said crack, videos of this format tend to be less elaborate: brief moments of added text, distorted voices, or zooming in or out to add emphasis. Some of these vids don't possess many additions at all, acting solely as compilations of scenes fulfilling the title's aim.
- 'x' can refer to a character, ship, or fandom text.
- 'y' can refer to adjectives such as 'chaotic', 'iconic' or 'gay', or to nouns such as 'a bi disaster' or 'a family show'
- 'z' usually refers to the length of the video
