Writing Off His Clothes is a Jim/Blair story by Miriam Heddy.

Author's summary:

What kind of pictures can we paint if we find the language we need? My tribute to the eroticism of the written word.

Reactions and Reviews

I knew I was going to recommend a Miriam story. The hard part was picking just one. Sestina, co-written with Francesca, is lyrical and incisive, but so short, and with no dialogue which Miriam does so understatedly and well. The Sharper Edge hits my "argue the guys into bed" button, and Laid Bare is unforgettably odd, a situation only Blair could get himself into. But finally, I picked Writing Off His Clothes. It's almost a meta-story on the nature of erotica, the power of words, and the possibility of writing your own (happy?) ending. [1]

writing off his clothes is by far one of the most incredibly written Sentinel pieces I've found. Miriam has several stories, Sentinel and otherwise, and they are all well-written, but this piece hits my surrealism/metaphysical kink in a big way! [2]

Take this premise: – Jim is writing fantasy porn featuring Blair. Blair comes home drunk and catches him at it. Now that ought to be cracky smutty fluff but it isn't. This is Miriam Heddy and it's sharp, biting and edgy, smutty fluff. Read and enjoy! [3]

Summary: Jim's recently discovered online gay erotica and it's got him hot--and imagining. He tries to insert his and Blair's name in a story, but it's not enough, so he tries his hand at writing some himself.

A drunk, playful Blair comes back early from a date and catches Jim writing his opus.

Reccer's Notes: I can't help but think that if Jim had come across some steamy TS fic, he could have had an easier time of it. Enjoy.[4]
