I am ridiculously addicted to this story. I rarely read sweet, complex chaptered fics like this one because im more of a wham-bam-thank-you-ma'am, PWP kind of girl... but this is just fantastic. When I first saw this story and saw that it was about Pete being a mermaid, I had my doubts, but because I'm up for any AU, I read it. I am so so so glad I did. I have fallen more than a little in love with this story, and waited anxiously for new installments. The story is beautifully crafted and heartwarming. Your writing engaged me so much that at points I wished I could smack Pete and Patrick for being stupid. I absolutely love when writers can make me feel a story that much.aldrea7[3]

I read this story while you were in the process of still writing it (kept up with updates, etc) and was just so obsessed with it. I was very young (12 at the time) and my mother had died while I was keeping up with this story. It was one of the few things that actually kept me going. This story is so well written and so beautiful and sure it's probably a bit outdated at this point but goodness like. You don't understand how much this story means to me. I didn't know it was hosted up here til today. I actually had a copy of it on one of my flash drives in case you ever deleted it but then I lost it. When I found out it was deleted I was heartbroken considering how much of an emotional anchor this story is to me. I know it probably seems silly that something like this is as important to me as it is but it really is just so important to me. When she died I had nothing going on in my life, nothing to keep up with or put love into but seeing you update this gave me little bits of joy I didn't know I needed. So, thank you so much for writing this story and for putting it up. I can't thank you enough for inadvertently being something that saved my life. I'm actually crying while writing this because I'm so happy it's up somewhere to be loved again. So yeah, thanks again from the bottom of my heart for this fic. Its one of the best fics out there out of everything that I've read. And I've been reading for almost 10 years now. Its just so good. Thanks again, op!orangemetaphor[5]
