Winry Rockbell is a character in the manga and anime series Fullmetal Alchemist.
Canon
Winry is a childhood friend of brothers Edward Elric and Alphonse Elric. She lives with her grandmother Pinako Rockbell after the death of her parents in the Ishvallan War. She's an automail mechanic, and helps build Edward a new arm and leg after the alchemy tragedy that starts off the series.
Throughout the series, viewers get to see her travels and growth as a mechanic. Often, she's visited by the main characters to help fix Ed's automail. Later in the series, Fuhrer King Bradley realizes she is special to Ed, and he uses her as a hostage.
