A Whovian is a Doctor Who fan.
History
The term Whovian was more common among fans in the United States, where the Doctor Who Fan Club of America published the Whovian Times newsletter in the early 1980s. It was seldom, if ever, used by British or Australian fan groups at this time.[1] However this changed with the advent of New Who, when the term Whovian saw a resurgence of use in fannish spaces and media publications. In 2012 the term Whovian was added to the Oxford English DIctionary.[2]
