Doctor Who Fan Club of America was founded in 1982 and was based in Denver. It apparently folded in the 1990's. In 1984 the founders claimed to have over 20,000 members. The newsletter of DWFCA was Whovian Times [1] which included a brief history in its 1984 issue.

They charged $5/year in dues in 1983-84 and held "Whovian Festivals" once or twice a year in various cities.[2]
