What Remains of Edith Finch is a 'walking simulator' video game centred around the titular character Edith Finch exploring her childhood home to find out the history of her family to pass on to her unborn son. The family is believed to be cursed, due to an influx of premature and/or tragic deaths, and these deaths are revealed as the game progresses.
The game received critical acclaim from both fans and critics, and is notorious for its angst, and heartbreaking story. Though the true nature of the supposed 'curse' and it's existence are left ambiguous, most fans seem to ascribe to the theory that it doesn't exist.
