What Has Eight Tentacles and Isn't Allowed to Eat Pie? is a Dean/Castiel story, in which Dean is transformed into an octopus. It is a highly recced fic in Supernatural fandom, often included on "Best of" lists focusing on the Destiel pairing. It was written for the 2013 Dean/Castiel Big Bang, and art was created by chef_geekier for the challenge.
Summary
Dean watched an anime porn about this once, but real life turns out to be way less interesting. Or, the one where Dean gets turned into an octopus.

So many people were freaking out about this fic (it just came out today), but when I checked it out it was even better than the hype. It's funny, it's touching, it's completely wonderful.[1]
This fic is alternatingly funny as hell or sweet as sugar because octopus!Dean is the cutest thing ever and also a freaking manace. I mean, if you suddenly have tentacles you would try to troll everyone with them, yeah? Well, Dean does. Cas doesn’t have the same freaked out reaction as everyone else and becomes the primary caretaker. Their interaction is at times serious at times sweet and often quite funny.[2]
You’d think this would be crack based on the summary, but it’s not (it does have some funny bits though.) It actually gets very tender, and has some really interesting octopus adventures. Plus lots of cute fan art! (Don’t worry, no tentaporn here lol)[3]
pretty nice. some seriously under-explored potential with the suckers, the inking, the camouflage.but the little noises dean made were adorbz.
and the ending was hella sweet :-)[4]
one of my all-time favs. has a bit near the end that i like to interpret as ace cas and also probably the only fic that could lure me into reading about tentacles[5]
This is the cutest! Do NOT be put off by the tentacles. It is 100% pure gross fluff[6]
It's pure genius and hilarious/fluffy as all heck. I mean who wouldn't love Dean being an octopus and tormenting Kevin? :P (And contrary to what the authors note says at the beginning there's no cross species sexy times)[7]
This is a must-read for anyone who likes smutless canon-compatible bunker!fic and also tentacles… No really, read it! (I date my love of octopodes to this fic)[8]
