Wendelin Van Draanen is an American author.
Probably best known for Flipped (which was made into a movie in 2010) and the Sammy Keyes series.

Quite a bit of fannish connection happens in the comments of the blog, actually. Wendelin sometimes asks fans' opinions (such as on new Sammy Keyes cover art [1]), or invites fans to join her in silly (fun!) brainstorms (Give Sammy A Clue!, Sammy-opoly, etc.), and she plainly loves talking to people who love her characters as much as she does. She also does lots of book giveaways.
He Said, She Said Author Tour in 2014 with husband Mark Huntley Parsons, following publication of the last book in the Sammy Keyes series, and Mark's first novel. (working name was the Epic Road Trip; see also [2], [3], [4], [5], [6]; and blogs from the tour Southern Loop Week 1 etc., Northern Loop Week 1 etc.)
