Wedding Night Story

The term "wedding night story" is used in Mary Renault fandom (particularly the maryrenaultfics LiveJournal community) to refer to fan fiction about the first time the hero of The Charioteer, Laurie Odell, had sex with Ralph Lanyon. This canonically took place on the night that Laurie's mother got married.

The term debuted on/by July 2004, when maryrenaultfics held a Wedding Night Challenge. The challenge elicited three well received stories on this theme:
