Wall sex is a sexual trope that involves two characters having sex against a wall or other vertical surface. In general, one character remains standing, pressing or holding the second character, who clings to them, against the wall. There are also variations that involve both characters standing.
This is fairly popular scenario in film and television. It allows characters to be intimate without having to fully undress, avoiding graphic nudity that might result in a higher rating. For this reason, it's also a common scenario in fanart, as it can allow an artist to leave it to the viewer to decide whether the scene depicts clothed intercourse or an intense make-out session. This ambiguity allows them to skirt online content restrictions like Tumblr's NSFW ban.
Table sex is the corollary trope involving characters having sex against a lateral surface.
