Summary
A two-part slash novel by Myrna. Blair's romance with a male FBI agent isn't going smoothly, and it leads both Jim and Blair to examine what each of them wants in a relationship, and whether their needs will or won't mesh. Then, a shadow from the past puts stress on the guys' new relationship.

Excellent little 'zine! Super terrific angst. We don't have to put up with too much B/o. I know you'll all be relieved about that! To elucidate the agents comments, Blair dates (and yes, has sex with) the FBI agent. But things don't work out because, of course, Jim wants his little Guppy for himself. Jim just hasn't caught the clue bus, yet. Unfortunately Mr. FBI guy goes a little wacky in the face of Blair's rejection. His attempts to get Blair back create a lot of physical and mental pain for Blair. In the second part, The Wall, we see the guys learning some lessons about trust, love and commitment. A truly excellent novella that I couldn't put down. Really. I was up 'til midnight.[1]

It creates the usual FBI/CPD animosity. Then AD Graves gives Jim a new reason to be pissed off – he asks Blair out on a date. Up until this point, Jim hadn’t wanted to pursue a relationship with Blair, even though they are both aware of the other's bisexuality. But now he’s jealous and finds all sorts of reasons for why Graves is wrong for Blair.
This might be described as “Jealous Jim gets off his duff and woos Blair”, but that’s not even close. Yes, there’s jealousy. But there’s also insecurity, obsession, control issues, macho posturing, stalking and fear – and shared around pretty equally among the principal characters.[2]

But Jim isn’t the only one who’s bit by the green-eyed monster and things start to swirl out of control in this tense story and sequel.[3]
I had 'The Wall' saved to my harddrive for rereading. It hit my angst kinks in a big way.[4]
