Vulcan Sand, Earthly Seas is a Kirk/Spock story by Robin Hood.

Summary
"Posing as a Romulan with Kirk as his slave, Spock must keep the leader of a newly contacted planet from hurting Kirk for his “rebelliousness” without letting him find out their true identities."
Reactions and Reviews
1990
The first mystery about this plot is why Kirk beamed down with Spock in the first place. He says that he went along to protect Spock when Spock can take excellent care of himself, and Kirk was an obvious liability on a planet friendly to the Romulans. Why would Kirk have such bad judgement? I am also mystified as to how it could be that Kirk could suffer a sexual assault yet go on to seduce Spock right afterward, and the only effect is some temporary impotence. This does not seem realistic at all. [1]
