Vivian Stanley served as President of the international Barry Morse fan club Morse Code and editor of the club's newsletter, also entitled Morse Code.
The quarterly (and later periodic) newsletter covered all aspects of Morse's career including television, film, stage, and radio productions. It carried information about his work, personal appearances, and often included news clippings from newspapers and magazines.
Morse himself endorsed the club and would occasionally write letters detailing his current and future projects which were reproduced in the periodical. Morse Code was in existence from 1977 to 1997.
Stanley's initial letter concerning the formation of the club appeared in ComLoC 4, October 1977, page 8:
"I've noticed in reading ComLoC that a lot of people loved Victor. Well, I'm a great fan of Barry Morse too and would like to hear from other fans. Also, anyone interested in helping with or joining a Barry Morse/Victor Bergman fan club?"
Stanley was based in various locales in Saskatchewan and Alberta, Canada during her tenure with the club.
