Summary
"At the time of this story, Captain Brandt is commanding a Federation scoutship, the USS Wozniak. Kirk is commanding the Enterprise, although the five-year mission has not yet begun. Gary Mitchell is still alive and Kirk and Brandt are not yet lovers. This is for Jonk and Laurel, who thought a story about a woman with a cold who has to command a ship would be entertaining."
