Vidding is one of the most active vidding-themed communities on livejournal. Many vidders who are active on lj announce their vids there. It also has news, requests for betas and other services, and occasional meta. It welcomes all kinds of vids and AMVs, though it doesn't have wide visibility or adoption among AMV editors.
