My name is Michelle A. Emerlind and I am a resident of the United States, living somewhere in the North Midwest. I have degrees in creative writing (both poetry and fiction) and I am in a variety of fandoms, most notably The Walking Dead. I am a slasher and have been involved in fanfiction since 2002, Archive of Our Own since 2012, and Fanlore since 2015.

I strongly believe that fanfiction is a wonderful and booming community that is often not recognized by the larger public and that it has a lot of good qualities to offer. Personally and professionally, I think society should give it more credit. More specifically, I am deeply involved in the Rick/Daryl slash community and joined Fanlore primarily to give the pairing (and the fandom in general) more representation and a better overall archive of our culture and history.
