I'm a long time Phantom of the Opera fan: before the days of internet fandom, I ran a Phantom fan club/newsletter, and then started the second Phantom fan site ever on the web, and helped run the original Phantom mailing list. I've joined Fanlore with the intention of working on the Phantom of the Opera section, but am not quite sure what to add, so if anyone has any tips on what kind of material would be welcomed, please leave me a note!

At the age of 18 I legally changed my name to Christine Daae (the Phantom's love) - yes, I know, bonkers.

Other fandoms: I love Buffy and Angel (Wesley Wyndam-Pryce forever!), and Whedon in general. As a teenager I was obsessed with Sherlock Holmes, Blackadder, Monty Python, all things Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie, and the Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy.

I'm not much of a reader of fanfic, but am passionate about defending its legitimacy.

What else should I say about myself? I'm a keen photographer and lover of the arts in general; I'm left-wing leaning towards anarchism, and feel strongly about all kinds of areas of social justice, from disability rights to the environment; I love mythology and fairy tales; I think dogs are just about the best thing on earth.
