Hello, I'm ameliette, casually Amy, from Finland, approaching late twenties, she/her pronouns. I have studied English literature & translation and ICT at a university level, but have yet to graduate from anything.

I'm primarily a fanfic writer, but I occasionally also do fanart.

Listed in the infobox above are only the fandoms I have published fanworks or otherwise publicly contributed to. Left out were fandoms where I only privately shared fanfic, for example Uncharted, Sly Cooper, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003 animated series), and Harry Potter. I'm very fickle in my interests and tend to not finish what I start, so I'm more a consumer than a producer of fanworks.

I first discovered fandom and fanfic in 2007 on a (now long-defunct) Finnish Sly Cooper fansite called SCatG and its forum, and in 2008 tried to publish Star Wars fanfic on a free website platform Suntuubi (Finnish, shut down in 2019-ish), but I considered my "fandom life" started when I discovered FFN thanks to an excerpt of Tähtien sammuessa by sulka in a middle school Finnish language & literature textbook.

I published my first English-language fic to FNN in 2009-2010, and moved to Ao3 in 2013. As of April 2021, I plan to archive the FFN fics to Ao3, but havent yet started.

Finnish Warrior Cats Fandom

One of my biggest contributions to any fandom has been Uusi Nelipuu, a Finnish-language Warrior Cats fansite I founded in 2010 and maintained until 2015 when my interest in the books faded. As of April 2021, the page is still up, but as Freewebs is shutting down the Webs.com domain, the site will disappear in June 2021. (Originally this was supposed to happen in March 2021, but Webs has extended the deadline)

Uusi Nelipuu was among the most well-known Warriors fansites in Finland, and contained a glossary and an original translation of the warrior code that were frequently copied without permission to other sites, often Finnish-language Fandom RPs hosted on Suntuubi. Other information on Uusi Nelipuu was updated as books became available in Finnish, in contrast to several other sites that translated spoilers as trivia from English-language sites or Warriors Wikia. (Fun fact, I also founded the Finnish-language Warriors Wiki! But I didn't do anything with it and it went through Wikia's adoption process before I returned to it. This doesn't bother me, I'm just happy someone wanted to do it.)

There was also a forum associated with Uusi Nelipuu but it never took off - I would assume this was because fandom in general, or at the very least newer, younger fans, were at this point moving towards chats and Tumblr-style engagement from forum/LiveJournal type discussions.

Originally the site had been named Tassupolku, but eventually I renamed it to Uusi Nelipuu, as Tassupolku had been registered as a business name some time before I founded the fansite, and the owner of the business reached out to me.

One of the things I did not cover on my site was the healer side of clan life, and another Finnish fansite, Parantajain Pesä, was founded in 2012 to cover that gap. That site had a chat associated with it, and I started hanging out there, eventually becoming an extra moderator when I was the only one present nearly 24/7. This chat is where I shared the private fics mentioned earlier, often because the other frequent chatters would draw me into their fandoms and I got way too invested. These include an RP-like collaborative writing project for Harry Potter and a two-person round robin crossover fanfic for Uncharted before the 4th game was released. Neither were finished as persons involved lost interest or had other commitments.

Precure Fanseries Fandom

I made some Sailor Moon Otaku Senshi after I read and watched that in 2012-ish, and I discovered Precure and Precure OCs via Sailor Moon fandom on DeviantART. I made my first fancures in 2014, and despite not watching that many seasons of the anime, I consider Precure among my main fandoms just because that's the community I'm most active in at the moment.

I had pages for a few of my series on PrecureOCs until it went down when Wikispaces went down in 2018. FancureParadise Wiki was founded on Wikia/Fandom as a response to Wikispaces' shutdown, to give people a "civilized" place to share wiki pages of their series, as the fanseries fandom already had several no-moderation wikis. I wasn't one of the founders on FanPara, but was added as a Content Moderator soon after, and I keep a close eye on the wiki to this day, as well as Wikia/Fandom's changes.
