Reactions and Reviews
Now this is only two pages, but oh, what a beautiful two pages. Strangely it's one of my favourite Blake/Avon fics, I think, and Blake is dead for all of it (having lived as president/Avon's boyfriend for a good while). But Avon's fierce grief (in public) and helplessness (in private) is so... perfect. And the final few lines are so lovely! It is almost hopeful, even as it is incredibly wretched and you have no idea what Avon will do with himself now Blake is dead. That, for me, is a perfect ending - and I am almost in awe of how it has been wrought. (The specific call-back used here is used somewhere else in this zine... I can't remember where. A Blake/Avon one, anyway. But I like it more here).[1]
(Sex? No) PGP Blake as president fic, in which Blake dies before Avon, and Avon has to speak at his funeral. It's only two pages long, but it contains a fantastic portrayal of Avon and his public and private grief.[2]
