Transfigurations is a Professionals slash story written by przed. It was inspired by Suzan Lovett's Leather and Lace drawing. The story was written for discoveredinalj's Halloween challenge.

In her notes, przed explained: "It's the expression on Doyle's face, on both their faces really, that's haunted me since I got hold of this illo."

Reactions/Reviews

"At last! A story to go with the illustration! *g* I really liked how you used the expression on Doyle's face in the illustration and fit it in with the story. And how Bodie taking a chance, being vulnerable, banished that expression. That's lovely."[1]

"Another gorgeous fic, this is the best Halloween in ages! The banter, the wit, the temper, the epiphany was all so convincing here - my favourite line, of many: "Holding a grudge against Doyle was like holding a grudge against lightning for striking." Just beautifully put."[2]

"The story was just as gorgeous as the illustration. I love your vain, confused, kerfluffled Bodie, putting up with all of Doyle's moods even when he doesn't understand what it's all about. This one just made me want to hum with satisfaction. I'll be reading it over again, many times! Thank you!"[3]

"There's some wonderful images here, and I don't just mean the illustration. :) Doyle as a Regency toff is rather wonderful, I can just see him. And Bodie's reaction made it all the more real. Lovely, thank you."[4]
