Only the memories most deeply rooted in Illya's mind remain with him: those of Napoleon Solo and Alexander Waverly. What will he do now? How can he survive with this gigantic hole in his mind? And how will Napoleon accept having to believe his partner would betray him willingly? Every time we come down to publishing one of R. Dean's stories, I have to reflect on how fortunate we are to have her among our family of writers and artists. Despite adversity, she has remained by our side. It was a very lucky day for our presses when we received her first submission for one of our publications. I am always amazed at the stories she sends, from short, light pieces, to one as large and as Intense as this one. Her talent for weaving a tale that keeps you rivetted [sic] to your seat seems to get better and better. And that is as it should be.
One particular point is her ability to create secondary characters who are as well-rounded as the primaries. I think you'll find the supporting cast in this novella well developed and quite appealing ~ each in his or her own way.
