Tori/Jade is a popular Femslash pairing in the Victorious fandom.
Canon
Tori and Jade are typically portrayed as rivals who begin to develop a friendship as the series progressed. Although, at times Jade seems to despise Tori, while Tori insists on being nice to Jade, she will often go to her first when she has a problem. Jade enjoys making Tori suffer and strives to get a reaction from her, while at the same time runs to her for help and comfort such as in Jade Dumps Beck.[1]
Fandom
Tori/Jade is the most popular femslash ship in the Victorious fandom and one of the most popular ships overall. Unsurprisingly this lead to many shipping wars.
There was some strong anti-slash sentiment when the Jade/Tori ship became a darkhorse favorite, but that's really come to be expected towards any popular same-sex ship (the Carly/Sam pairing from iCarly elicited similar reactions), especially one on a show aimed, at least ostensibly, for tweens.Once Jade/Tori grew increasingly popular there were some minor Beck/Jade v Tori/Jade feuds when it became clearer they were the most popular ships inside the Beck/Tori/Jade trio. Often it could lead to rather childish arguments or ship warring, with increasing hate-tagging by Jade/Tori shippers and outright denial of those character's possible bi/homosexuality (even in subtext) by Beck/Jade shippers, as well as the tendency to explicitly invoke that Moral Guardian's sway over kid-centric television and general homophobia would always keep Jori from being canon.[2]
