On a diplomatic mission, Nocteans, who are eager to please the Federation, offer Captain Kirk a gift they have deemed most valuable to Kirk – the chance to save Spock's life. Of course, the most exciting things always happen on diplomatic missions. I’m just going to come outright and say it: this is a body-swapping story. There. [...] But oh boy, do I not regret this one bit! I loved reading about Kirk’s experiences in Spock’s body – the temperature sensitivity, the metabolic changes, the heightened hearing, and oh hey, guess whom this body is attracted to. As Spock would put it: fascinating! The having-sex-with-oneself sex is minimal and short (they switch back almost immediately after) [...]. Highly recommended![2]
This is a hilarious and fun twist on the usual Pon Farr story. It's just really fun smut. *shrug* What more do you want?[3]

There were points in this story where I had to put my phone down and walk around my room before my brain fried itself. The pacing is perfect. The characterization is perfect. The angst is perfect. The sex is perfect. It hits exactly the right notes with me, personally, in every single line. This fic changed me as a person.[7]
