Reactions and Reviews
Auburn's story is written from RayK's point of view, and his observations of the stops and starts in his and Fraser's slowly deepening relationship paint a very authentic picture of their lives post-series. Circumstances keep them apart at first until they finally reach a compromise they can both live with - without losing who and what they are. Furthermore, the author is very good at giving an earnest, but tongue-in-cheek account of Ray's cases in Chicago and at depicting a tangible feel of loneliness and isolation. In short, this story is one of the most believable "and they moved to Canada together" fanfics you can imagine. [1]
Told from Ray's POV, this story deals with life for Ray back in Chicago and how he faces the feelings he has for Fraser. It's very well done, especially the cases that add authentic background to Ray's Chicago life. And the solution to their problem is one I think works particularly well. [2]
