The World Ends With You is an action role-playing video game series developed by Square Enix and Jupiter. The series centers around the Reaper's Game, a competition where the souls of the recently deceased complete a week-long series of challenges across the Shibuya shopping district in Tokyo, Japan. Those who make it to the end of the week and accrue enough points receive a chance at resurrection, while those who fail are erased from existence.

The first game centers around Neku, an antisocial, amnesiac teenager whose participation in the Reaper's Game forces him to open up and connect with his game partners and the other people around him.
An anime adaptation of the first game was announced in June 2020 and aired in 2021 from April 9 to June 26.
The original game received two remasters, subtitled Solo Remix for iPhones and Android in 2012 and Final Remix for the Nintendo Switch in 2018, which included new bonus material that teased the possibility of a sequel. A second game, titled NEO: The World Ends With You was finally announced in November 2020 and released in July 2021.

Crossovers with Kingdom Hearts are popular due to Neku and his friends making a guest in the 2012 game Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, where KH protagonist Sora promised to come visit them in Shibuya someday.
