Reactions and Reviews

this fic was wow... i can't even begin to put into words how touching and beautifully written it was, but i'll try. really like, i read this fic over the course of a day and a half and i was quite literally sucked into every second of it, every word had a purpose, every sentence just fit. the plot, the entire story, the characterization of every. single. character. was just w o w, right on fucking spot. the way you built costia's character was so unique, yet so true and imbedded into what she would have been like if alive in canon. clarke and lexa were their true selves, and i never questioned them acting or thinking any differently.

and also can we talk the beautifully pieced together one-liners? (aka quotes so touching and tender, i could honestly consider tattooing them on my body.) "i'm sorry my love isn't sweeter," actually had me reeling at how captivating it was. and then clarke's response: “i guess my love isn’t very sweet, either.” had me reeling x10, i think i actually shed a tear (or at least really wanted to.)

i wish i could print out the entirety of this fic and put it on a shelf, because i swear i truly could read it 20 times over and still be drawn to it. this is a masterpiece... and i really hope you realize just how talented you are with words: it really is something to envy.[1]

So I have no idea if I commented on this chapter already, but I have to say one more thing. I think what is most impressive to me is the ending of this story. I don't think I need to tell you how amazingly difficult and gut wrenching it is to write a satisfying ending. All the conflicts, emotions, and character arcs somehow need to be tied up into a pretty bow. It's nearly goddamn impossible.

But somehow, you managed to write an ending that is not just satisfying, but completely heart wrenching in the best of ways. I was so apprehensive about all our characters, and where you led them in the end of this story took my breath away. So so looking forward to where you go from here, but again - well freakin done, my friend.[2]

this fic came into my village, destroyed my crops, torched my home, took my livestock, gouged me in the eyes, and then clubbed me right over the fucking head. and i love every second of it. i love this fic, i love this fic, i love this fic. i love it so much i can't even begin to be eloquent about it. every single fucking thing about it is perfect. thank you so much for writing it and sharing it with us all asdjpfoiadjfvpoiaejr[3]
