Before you dismiss this one as a typical 'sleeping beauty', take another look. With Kirk and Spock would it ever be that simple? It's interesting seeing the ping-pong effects of each Ban's subconscious, especially Kirk's jealousy of the golden image Spock has fixated upon.[1]
