The Pokemorphs is an epic-length crossover series by Rachel, in which elements of the Animorphs series (the ability of the main characters to morph and the battle against evil mind-controlling slugs) are brought into the Pokemon universe of pocket monsters, trainers and battles. It was begun in 1999 when the author was around 13 and continued for two years before real life demands brought the project to an end.
Pokémorphs is a fan-fiction series created by me, Rachel (a.k.a. rache01).The "Pokémorphs" (Pocket Monster Morphers) must turn into Pokémon to battle the deadly Weederpies.
It's about five kids who have been given the power to morph into any Pokémon they touch. They team up with two young Mews to battle their enemies, the Weederpies.
Weederpies are a species of Pokémon who were created by Team Rocket. They are crossbreeds of Caterpies and Weedles. They can crawl inside a Pokémon's head and control it.
They plan to capture an army of fierce Pokémon, and then destroy humans!
"About Pokemorphs" - pokemorphs.com
The series was notable for the sheer amount of work that went into it and the website hosting it. As well as the series (presented as a number of "books" in various arcs, there were fake Pokemon cards (designed by The S), a Pokemorphs computer game (created by Boba Fett, original MIDI music files and a cartoon (run by the fan animation collective LuvNikLuna). The books were also being translated into German, Danish and Italian by fans.
It was linked to as a quality Mew and MewTwo story by Alara Rogers for her Mirror Dark-Mirror Light archive.
