Reactions and Reviews
This is a very short piece of fiction, which at least on the Internet would be referred to as a drabble. Despite that—or maybe because of it—it holds much emotional value, and is to me far more satisfying a read than many much longer pieces. Buerste has written a story where Spock reflects on how beautiful Kirk is to him, regardless of the fact that his lover has grown old and no longer is the dashing young starship captain that he once was. This drabble is beautiful, and portrays love in the 'autumn of life' beautifully. A wonderful reminder that love—true love—has very little to do with looks.
