The KISS Army is the official fan club of the heavy metal group Kiss. It was originally founded by Bill Starkey and Jay Evans, two teenagers from Terre Haute, Indiana. They started the club in 1975, when a local radio station repeatedly turned down their requests to play more music by Kiss.[1] They began calling themselves "The Kiss Army" and soon as Kiss became popular many members were recruited, and they became Kiss's official fan club.
"Additionally, once a year the “KISS Army” becomes the “KISS Navy” as fans from across the globe board the KISS Kruise (this year will be their 6th voyage)."
The KISS Army was one of the earlier fan armies in the Rock'n'Roll music fandom.
