Lost and Found is a slash Sentinel digest-sized anthology of stories in the "Jamie Series" by Gillian Middleton.

There is a sequel called The Lesson.

Summary

From Agent With Style: "In the jungles of Peru, Jim and Blair find a dead woman and her now-orphaned son. Carrying the child back to civilization, Blair and the baby, whom he names Jamie, bond, and Jim is determined that his lover will not be separated from his child-of-the-heart."

Issue 1

Lost and Found 1 was published in April 1998 and contains 168 pages.

From the editorial:

If you love Jim Ellison and Blair Sandburg of UPN's The Sentinel and you've ever daydreamed about their life from day to day outside of the job, then you will certainly enjoy this wonderful story from the very talented Australian author, Gillian Middleton.

When we first read the 'Jamie Series' at Gillian's website, we knew we wanted to publish them as a collection in digest-sized format and bring them to those people who are not online. What you are holding is volume one in a two — or three — volume set.

You hear so much about the maternal instinct. Well, this offering explores the paternal side of that subject. To say this story is charming only touches upon one facet of its content. The following pages are filled with a powerful mixture of human emotions. Love. Fear. Grief. Concern. Loyalty. Need. It allows us to explore something many people take for granted, but that men in a homosexual relationship may not enjoy. Parenthood.

Suffice to say. Lost and Found is a story of love. Love for each other and love for anew and heretofore unexpected addition to the Ellison/Sandburg partnership.

The idea of 'single' men finding a toddler and becoming attached to it is far from new. The film Three Men and a Baby only one example of how attached the male animal can become to the young of its own species and struggle to adjust their lives to accommodate it's [sic] needs.

Gillian not only presents the couple with a child, but she very aptly addresses the mixed feelings each of the men deal with as they realize what they've taken on — including the very natural jealousy that one experiences when a third personality joins an established team.

Add to an already heartwarming story the illustrative efforts of KOZ and you have what we feel is a lovely look into one very possible future for the two men we hold so dear.

Enjoy! We did.

Reactions and Reviews

[regarding the stories online]: originally 18 chapters and eventually expanded to 24... If you’re ready for a long read where the guys are in a loving relationship and are also dads, this could be for you!

Blair is on a five-week expedition in the fictitious South American country of San Leon, and Jim is missing him. Three weeks into it, there is breaking news: rebels have started a revolution and violence is breaking out all over the country. Knowing the area as he does, Jim is sure that Blair’s American citizenship will be no protection and decides to find him.

With help from old Army contacts, Jim is able to locate Blair pretty easily, but getting past marauding gangs to a safe place is harder. As they travel toward safety, they come across a group of refugees who have been massacred; all except one baby boy: Jamie.

Gillian wrote this epic back in the late 90s. Alyjude said the Jamie series inspired her to write her own epic: Everything’s Jake. Enjoy. [1]
