The Immortality Project aka TIP was a popular MCR fansite run by Anna. The website had several sections and included fanfiction and a forum, as well as various multimedia and other resources related to the band.
TIP also had an official MySpace page, but the livejournal community, tip4life, appears to be unofficial.
The site was eventually shut down due to the owner's inability to pay for hosting.[1] As of the February 2009 Wayback Machine capture, a note on the site stated that, "TIP's fees are $195/month and are covered solely by your donations. Support TIP! Anna and MCR thank you so much for your help."[2]
Reminiscenses
In 2011 fans on the mcrmy.com discussion board were lamenting the loss of the site:[3]
That suuuucks. I spent so many nights browsing their fanfic archive.
It was actually the first MCR fansite of which I was a part. Tons of awesome content.
I missed TIP, it was where I downloaded all my rare songs and read foreign magazine articles.
Man...the TIP boards...it feels like they have been gone forever! I remember hearing all sorts of news from the boards, making friends, and being just silly with people. I mean, when people would talk about how psycho MCR fans are, I didn't understand it because the TIP boards were so much fun!
