Summary
Once the word goes out to all Immortals that Methos, the 5000-year old Immortal, whom everyone thought had long been killed and his quickening taken, was still alive, he is challenged over and over, each Immortal wanting to take that immeasurable power for himself. After his last fight leaves him sick and disoriented and speaking ancient Egyptian, Methos is committed to a hospital, where Daniel Jackson and Jack O'Neill discover his true identity. They take him back to Cheyenne Mountain to learn more about him, but Duncan MacLeod and Joe Dawson are determined not to let him disappear down the rabbit hole without a trace. In a novel where everyone is searching for something or someone, connects are made, regrets are professed and forgiveness, sometimes in an unexpected form, might finally be given.
